Viewers watched as she and Chris Hull travelled to Port Sunlight to view a scruffy cottage garden.

The pair met Emma and Nathan who admitted they wanted a sleek contemporary-style design despite their home being located in a grade II listed village.

As usual Charlie and Chris then battled to pitch their garden designs to the pair.

Chris had told Emma and Nathan due to their home’s listing the team weren’t able to attach anything to its walls in the garden.

Work then got underway on the small space, which included the construction of a new patio and freestanding pergola.

The garden transformation continued with a pond and accompanying water feature in the centre of the green space.

Emma and Nathan were then left blown away when their brand new exotic garden was revealed to them.

However, for viewers at home, they appeared less than impressed with Charlie and her team’s work.

Taking to social media, one BBC watcher said: “That water feature looks way too big for that garden.”

A second wrote: “Looks more like an assault course than a garden.”

“Chris’s designs always look the same,” said a third.

While a fourth positively posted: “Just beautiful.”

Last year Charlie stunned Garden Rescue fans by revealing the very rude nickname her team had given her.

Charlie told Radio Times that her nickname on the set was ‘Horticultural Viagra’.
