THE first part of the third season of Bridgerton was dropped last month, and already people are flocking to their screens in droves.
Netflix announced the highly-anticipated edition would be released in two parts over the space of around a month.

According to the verified ‘What’s On Netflix’ fan account, 325 million hours were watched of the first four episodes.
The site equated the numbers to around 88million total views across the first editions.
Because the full third series of Bridgerton series was not yet released, the show would not yet be eligible for the top ten of all time.
Although the numbers from the episodes alone would rank it in ninth place if it was.
This is because the esteemed and prestigious list only counts full series of the shows.
The numbers may be encouraging for the global streamer as new released has followed the trend of its predecessors.
625million hours were viewed across eight episodes in the first 28 days after the initial release for series one.
Season two saw an even bigger reception with an increase as over 656million hours were viewed across the follow up over the whole series.
This comes as many of the cast were out in force to celebrate the official premiere of the full series at the Odeon Luxe at London’s Leicester Square.
Nicola Coughlan and Luke Newton– who starred as Penelope Featherington and Colin Bridgerton respectively – led the pack.
They were joined by the likes of Claudia Jessie, Adjoa Andoh, Luke Thompson, Ruth Gemmell, and Golda Rosheuvel.
Speaking at the event, Luke Newton told News UK’s TALK: “It was a mad experience going through part two because there’s so many twists and turns.
“It feels like we don’t settle for more than two minutes … the secrets will finally be out. We’ve been holding them for so many months.”
When asked if he felt pressure stepping into the leading man of the show, he also explained how he ‘relished the challenge‘.
Why is Bridgerton still so popular?
By deputy TV editor, Felicity Cross
WHEN Bridgerton landed during lockdown, it swept us all into a world of bejewelled gowns, lavish balls and endless bonking – and the world went mad for it.
Even the sexless second series didn’t damp down TV viewers’ lust for the Regency romp and fans have eagerly anticipated the arrival of the third series.
And they won’t be disappointed.
The opener finally gives us some action from gorgeous series two newlyweds Anthony and Kate in scenes that would make your granny blush.
There’s drama and intrigue as the hunt for Lady Whistledown hots us, and laugh out loud comedy from the chaotic Featherington family.
But ultimately the season belongs to new romantic leads Colin and Penelope, whose will-they-won’t-they love story is fun, flirty and utterly believable and its, ahem, climax at the end of episode four will take your breath away.
Is Bridgerton still must-watch telly? Corset is.
“I kind of was looking forward to it for a really long time,” Newton stated.
“I had the support of the people that have previously done it, like Johnny Bailey has always been there for me.
He added: “So ultimately, I just looked forward to it and was excited to like dive into my character in full, like that was the main goal for me yeah.”
Meanwhile, Simone Ashley, 29, played the leading role of Kate Sharma in the second series of the smash-hit programme.

Despite previous actors like Rege-Jean Page and Phoebe Dynevor vacating their roles, the Little Mermaid star returned to the show in full force.
Last night she also confirmed her future on the show unlike some of her leading predecessors, as she said there is far more to come.
Speaking to TALK, she explained: “Kate Sharma is here to stay!
“I think both Johnny [Bailey] and I we absolutely adore our characters, Kate and Anthony, their relationship, and their journey post marriage.
“It was just amazing to pass the baton onto Luke and Nicola this season and watch them absolutely kill it on set.
“It was so wonderful to explore that [romantic] side to Kate and Anthony, the softness between them and where they go from here.”
