CHARLES Anderson looks set to be left distraught as his romance with Manpreet Sharma takes an unexpected turn.
Fans of Emmerdale have seen how cracks have begun to form in Charles and Manpreet’s relationship after a disaster proposal.
Feeling heat from the Bishop, Vicar Charles felt under pressure to make his union with Manpreet more official given the fact he should only be living with a married partner.
His mother was very keen on the idea too but the talk of weddings left Manpreet with a more sour face than usual.
Charles then decided that he should pop the question but was left aghast when a headstrong Manpreet turned him down.
She questioned why they should ruin a good thing by taking things to the next level, especially considering she fled from the aisle the last time they attempted to get wed.
Now, in upcoming scenes, fans will see how the GP‘s wandering eye will have serious consequences for her relationship.
Manpreet will attempt to make a play for a much younger – and very happily married – man in the Dales.
She will be seen listing over hunk Billy in thirsty scenes.
Her behaviour won’t go unnoticed as Ella sees her behaviour around the PT.
Manpreet soon confesses to Ella that she has a sordid crush on the heartthrob but Ella tells her to quit while she’s ahead.
Later when Manpreet spots Billy leaving, she grabs him with both hands and kisses him on the lips.
The next day Ella assures Manpreet that Charles doesn’t need to find out, but thinks Billy needs an explanation.
However, all hell breaks loose when Charles overhears Manpreet apologising for smooching Billy.
Furious, he storms out leaving her with the notion their relationship is ruined.
Can Manpreet and Charles get things back on track or is it done and dusted?
