A HUGE string of new Netflix shows have been given the axe by the streaming service.
However, it was not all bad news as the global platform recently dropped a major update on a popular returning series.

Huge shows such as the comedy series Blockbuster, action horror series Resident Evil, drama thriller The Midnight Club were all previously given the axe.
Resident Evil received mostly negative reviews from fans and critics and Blockbuster struggled to get significant viewers to tune in.
Despite being made by the creator of The Haunting Of Hill House, Mike Flanagan’s The Midnight Club did not match the success of his first thriller on the platform.
Other shows such as the German sci-fi series 1989 was also given the boot due to high production costs and a viewership that did not meet expectations.
Now, Netlfix has axed a dozen K-drama and comedy series after fans hoped they would be renewed.
Amongst the list it included Business Proposal which focuses on an employee who goes on a blind date in place of her friend, only to discover her date is actually her boss.
Crash Landing on You is another show that faces the chop, which focuses on an South Korea heiress who accidentally landed in North Korea after a paragliding incident.
Romance shows to face the axe include Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha, Something in the Rain and The King’s Affection.
This is whilst other drama shows that did not get renewed include Café Minamdang, Mine, My Liberation Notes, Our Blues and Thirty-Nine and Tomorrow.
Survive the Island is the reality series that featured 24 strong women compete in a in a last group standing challenge.
They were split into six teams based on their occupation, which included sectors such Police, firefighters, bodyguards, soldiers, athletes and stunt-women.
However one success story has been Love, Death & Robots, which is a show that gained a significant cult following following its debut in 2019.
The anthology series has received widespread praise by fans because of the high-quality animation production and the unique format of the series.
Filmmakers were given the freedom to explore a variety of different ideas without typical constraints seen on TV.
After earning over a dozen Primetime Creative Arts Emmy Awards, Netflix commissioned a fourth outing of the show in August of 2022.
Viewers are yet to see the new content but the new instalment is expected to contain nine individual episodes.
Although no release date has been revealed as of yet, fans could expect to see the proven formula of fantasy, horror, and sci-fi mixed with elements of dark comedy.
