ALISON Hammond’s Russian toyboy was unlikely to know she was famous when they began dating, according to a pal.
A friend of hunky 6ft 10in masseur David Putman has described him as “strong” and a “silent type” and believes he is “perfect” for Alison.
The This Morning star, 49, met 26-year-old David when she booked him for a £150 massage.
She has so far remained tight-lipped about her romance but a pal of David’s has revealed what she likely sees in him.
Speaking to the Daily Mail, the friend said: “David is a very quiet, unassuming and thoughtful person who likes to play the guitar.
“He’s the strong, silent type, not a pushover, but not chatty like Alison.
“In that sense they’re perfect for each other and to David, age is just a number. He’s not bothered by fame, he probably didn’t even know who Alison was when they first met.”
Earlier this week, The Sun revealed Alison had slowly fallen for David – who had moved to the UK to escape Russia’s war with Ukraine– while visiting him for regular massages.
She would book the trained body therapist and model in between her busy filming schedule and their friendship soon turned romantic at the end of 2023.
It is understood the couple have become extremely close having known each other for more than a year.
David has since been branded a ‘a god with his hands’ by a group of women who had a foot massage with him on a boozy night out.
They told us: “We can see why Alison likes him, he is really quite fanciable – and has an air of sexy mystery around him.
“He also really knows his way around a foot, he was godlike the way he was doing it. We wouldn’t be surprised if he has a bit of a think for feet.”
It has also been revealed that David goes by a different name while at work in London’s Soho.
The Russian, who has British citizenship through his father, calls himself William while doing his job.
An insider told The Sun: “Alison has never been happier. She has had a turbulent love-life, but is finally confident she has found a trusted companion.”
