JERRY Seinfeld’s new movie Unfrosted: The Pop-Tart Story has landed on Netflix.
Seinfeld’s directorial debut features a star-studded ensemble cast – here’s what we know about them.
Who is in the cast?
Unfrosted: The Pop-Tart Story is set in Michigan in 1963 and tells the fictional story of how Kellogg’s and Post battled to create a breakfast staple.
The show comes six years after a bizarre tweet by Seinfeld in 2018.
At the time he shared: “At one point I was thinking about an invention of the Pop Tart movie.
“Imagine the drunk on sugar-power Kellogg’s cereal culture of the mid-60’s in Battle Creek, MI.
“That’s a vibe I could work with.”
And now the movie is available to watch – with an impressive cast, including Seinfeld himself.
Jerry Seinfeld
Jerry Seinfeld is a legendary comedian and actor.
He became a household name in 1989 after the premiere of his eponymous sitcom based on his stand-up comedy acts.
The comedian stars in as well as directs, and producing Unfrosted, which he co-wrote with Spike Feresten and Barry Marder.
He stars as Bob Cabana, the company’s head of development and Pop-Tart inventor.
Melissa McCarthy
Melissa McCarthy plays fictional Kellogg’s employee Donna Stankowski in Pop-Tarts.
She is a famous comedian and actress known for many of her roles in hit movies.
In 2022, McCarthy starred in the Netflix series God’s Favorite Idiot alongside her husband Ben Falcone.
She is known for Bridesmaids and Can You Ever Forgive Me?, receiving an Oscar nomination in 2012 and 2019 respectively.
Jim Gaffigan
Jim Gaffigan is a comedian known for his role in his self-titled 2015 show.
Many regard him as a “clean comic” as his work is very family-friendly.

He plays fictional president of the Kellogg’s company, Edsel Kellogg III, in Unfrosted.

She is a stand-up comedian and actress known for her crass jokes and unapologetic style.
She broke out in 2013 with her sketch comedy show Inside Amy Schumer.

Hugh Grant
Hugh Grant is an award-winning English actor.
He plays real-life person Thurl Ravencroft in Seinfeld’s project.
Grant is widely recognized for his role in the hit 1990s film Notting Hill alongside Julia Roberts.

James Marsden
James Marsden stars as Jack LaLanne.
The actor is known widely as a rom-com actor who has starred in movies The Notebook, Enchanted, Sonic The Hedgehog, and Hairspray.

Jack McBrayer
Jack McBrayer is an actor who gained prominence for his role as Kenneth Parcell in 30 Rock.
